These were the inspirational words of @Dr. Ronnie Lowenstein to S.6 Class students during her brief virtual visit (via skype video-conference) to Mengo Senior school today as we raise awareness about the power and etiquette of social media among students. Dr. Ronnie is a global ICT visionary and founder of the NetGeneration Youth Project. She is based in USA.
Her chat was followed by a brief demoing of skype videoconferencing with Ms. Lindita J Muja from Kosovo (Europe). Lindita is an educator enthusiastic about making education more relevant. She met educator – Kalema Golooba Ayub in Sweden during the Life Academy ICT & Pedagogical Development Course earlier this year.
Tomorrow, Friday we continue with a series of inter-class debates to further impact our learners. One of the key issues on the floor is Social Media. “This house believes that Uganda government was justified in blocking social media services”
